About

Welcome to the Decatur Heights neighborhood. We’re a friendly and diverse community with approximately 600 residences (single-family, townhomes, apartments and more). We’re located in the northeast quadrant of City of Decatur, Georgia and are within walking distance of transit, schools, medical, shopping, dining, and downtown. Crime activity is low, thanks to our hard-working Decatur Police Department and neighbors looking out for neighbors. In other words, it’s an ideal place to live!

Decatur Heights is accessed off of East Ponce De Leon Avenue to the south; Church Street to the north; Forkner Drive to the west; and North Arcadia Avenue to the east. Sycamore Drive is the neighborhood’s main street. The boundaries of Decatur Heights are East Ponce de Leon Avenue to the south; the city limits on Sycamore Drive at Bridlewood Circle where Springdale Heights starts to the north; Sycamore Drive at Forkner Drive where Glennwood Estates begins to the west; and North Arcadia Avenue to the east. The Avondale MARTA station is located immediately south of the neighborhood. DeKalb Medical is located at the top end of Sycamore Drive near Church Street.

The Decatur Heights neighborhood is located inside of the perimeter with nearby access to Hwy 78 and I-285. The City of Atlanta is just down the road.
