The DHNA Board has learned that Scott Selig, Executive Vice President of Selig Enterprises, passed away on October 27, 2017. Scott worked closely with the Decatur Heights Neighborhood Association and other nearby neighborhoods to make the redevelopment of Suburban Plaza an asset in the community. He will be missed by many who were fortunate to know him. We extend our sympathy to his family, friends, and the entire Selig Enterprises team.

The DHNA Board invites neighbors to attend an information session with the development team from Alliance Realty Services and Toll Brothers for the potential mixed-use development to be located at the intersection of East Ponce de Leon Avenue and North Arcadia Avenue (Sam’s Crossing).
The proposed site, next door to Decatur Crossing Apartments and partially located within the Decatur Heights neighborhood, is an 8.9- acre assemblage of eleven separate parcels, including the auto salvage yard. Should the project proceed, a major grocery chain is lined up as the main anchor tenant.
The DHNA Board, along with representatives from Sycamore Station, Sycamore Ridge, Glennwood Estates, and Downtown Decatur Neighbors, has provided initial input and is receptive to what is being proposed. We are pleased to be able to host this meeting between the developers and the surrounding neighborhoods.
