National Night Out August 4, 2015 (Pop with a Cop)

National Night Out Tuesday August 4th.  your DHNA will be participating in this national event by hosting Pop with a Cop.  From 5:30-6:30 come by to enjoy a popsicle with your local police officers and thank them for all they do.

You can still participate in this event if you are not able to make it for a popsicle.  From 8-9pm turn your porch light on to recognize local law enforcement.  Pop with a Cop

Decatur Heights is Hosting a Bicycle Safety and Registration Event, September 20th, 10am-Noon

Join the Decatur Police Department and Decatur Active Living  for a Bicycle Registration and Safety Event.

Register your bike, receive a helmet safety check, and ride the “safety course” to learn bike safety, hand signals, rules of the road.

Also, Bicycle South staff will be conducting bike checks. If it rains, we will move from the parking lot to inside of the gym.

This event is offered FREE to the community! *Children must be accompanied by an adult.

LCI Medline Planning Meeting and Bike Tour, June 5th 6-8PM

What is the LCI?: The Livable Centers Initiative (LCI) is a program of the Atlanta Regional Commission that awards planning grants on a competitive basis to local governments and non-profit organizations. Grants are used to prepare plans for the enhancement of existing centers and corridors consistent with regional development policies.

The  LCI Medline Plan Celebration is this Thursday from 6-8pm.  Should be an informative and fun time.  This will be the final planned public meeting

An optional bike tour of the area will begin at 7pm. The event will be held at the International Community School which is located at 2418 Woodland Trail (at the very end of Medlock Rd).

Decatur Heights Clean-Up Day May 31st and June 7th, 7:30AM-3:30PM

The City of Decatur is hosting Neighborhood Cleanup Days on Saturdays from
March- June, 2014 to allow residents to dispose of bulky materials that would not
normally be placed in pay-as-you-throw bags.

May 31st and June 7th are the Decatur Heights Clean-up days.  See the list below and follow the link form detailed information on what is allowed.
